PRESIDENT: Nick
White, has been fascinated by all things fluid
since he was a child. He flew control line in the local park in
Sydney and still has the remnants of a Pixie transmitter that he had
unsuccessfully tried to guide a perfectly serviceable free flight
glider. After learning to fly full sized gliders he attempted to
interest his young son in the wonders of aero modelling.
The inevitable happened: the son showed little interest and the
father renewed his love of flying. |

VICE-PRESIDENT: Peter
Prasser, has been involved with model aircraft since the days
of the Veron and Frog rubber powered kits and Airfix plastic models.
He saw my first radio control model in 1962 (a Veron Sky scooter)
and moved from control line to R/C in the mid 60's. First radio
flight was actually at the present Redbank site in 1964. Redbankplains rd was a dirt strip and we shared the paddock with a
number of horses- Spectacularly unsuccessful and tried again in the
80's with multi channel gear. Peter joined BMSC flying gliders at
Redbank. Decided electric gliders were more interesting than the
winch variety and stayed at Redbank when the glider guiders went to
Harrissville. |

SECRETARY:
Mark Lewis, has been involved in RC from age 10,
initially racing RC off road buggies at the state level, and
later electric powered racing boats. It wasn't until ten years
ago, he attended a fly-in glider day at the Laidley Slope site,
where he bought a flying wing, and has been flying regularly
ever since. Soon after, started working for S&B RC models,
based in Brisbane, which produce WW2 semi-scale EPP warbirds,
and now works in the aviations industry as a UAV (Unmanned Air
Vehicle) controller. He has extensive knowledge of electric
powered setups for planes and gliders and loves flying deadstick
(i.e. gliding as his passion).

TREASURER: Bill Bell, has been
building model planes since he was in junior school. He was for many
years a full sized glider pilot and also a private and commercial
pilot flying internationally. He has had extensive commercial
aviation experience. He and Caroline Bell emigrated to Australia,
and after a lapse of many years, both took up R/C flying with RAMS
at Cleveland before joining the MRSSA which led to the present
group. |
